Pathways can assist in the review of your current medication policy and procedures. This can include re-designing and creating an easy to use, concise medication management manual that would be seen as an ogoing reference resource to staff involved in medication management. Included in this process would be specific references to relevant individual state legislative and regulatory requirements including detailing of the requirements contained in the Guiding Principles for Medication Management in Residential Aged Care Facilities (DOHA 2012). In addition to this specific drug information, medicine modes of administration and relevant nursing care principles would also be incorporated in the review of any medicine manual.
